it's what FUN is!

This past Saturday, we went with my mom and Peter to Lagoon (a wanna-be Six Flags). He actually did pretty well and even enjoyed himself when we took him on the carousel.

Trav and me getting ready to blast off.

Can you see our little feet dangling in the air? I love roller coasters, they make me happy.

At home with the Millets

Summer's in full swing and we haven't been up to much (I guess that's what happens when you have a baby..who knew?!). We are still alive even if we aren't doing anything too interesting, so enjoy some pictures of the Millet's in their natural habitat.

Mmm....pork. I wonder when Mom'll start me on hotdogs??

Peter going to sleep. The silly boy is a side sleeper and often cocks his head back like this at night. It looks super uncomfortable, but he seems to like it.

Uh, guys? I think you're supposed to hibernate during winter. Not summer.

Petey's signature expression. Our little monkey is super expressive with his eyebrows; my dad says he goes around with an eternally surprised look on his face -- hey wouldn't you if everything you saw was totally new?

Keeping Life in Balance

So I'm often asked what I'd like to do when I graduate, (as opposed to the question of when I'm going to graduate which is what Michelle asks). Controls Engineering is more or less what I'm specializing in, which, unless your a controls engineer, means nothing to you. Basically I tell machines what to do and how to do it, it's just part of my controlling personality I guess. A classic example is your car's speed control, it has to get the desired speed and stay there whether you're going up a hill or down one or just on flat ground. Here's a video of my lab partner Adam, (I'm filming), of a project we just finished for a class. We wrote a short computer program to balance a pendulum upside-down, like balancing a broom with your hand. I know it sounds pretty geeky but Here goes...

Cute boy...one of them

My mom texted me this adorable picture of Petey while she was watching him today. Isn't he too cute? Trav said I needed to make the distinction that this is only one of my cute boys. Peter is now 4 months old and he is 13 lbs 3 oz and 25 inches long. I can't believe how fast he's growing. But check out those chubby cheeks, he's just too adorable!
