Legoland (year 3)

For the third year in a row, we took the kids to Legoland. Travis coached Peter's Jr. First Lego League team through Sundown (he says he's not gonna coach sports teams, so this is his way of getting involved) and they had so many kids sign up. The program has really grown - I think they had upwards of 60 kids come!

While Travis and Peter were off with the judges, I took Benji and Nora around to ride some rides. First stop was the carousel or 'the ponies' as Nora calls them.

Nora got to drive the little go carts this year and her face cracked us up to no end. She was so incredibly happy to be driving.

Here is Peter's team - they made a model of a slime mold (on Peter's suggestion) and they did a great job.

The kids had a great time and were utterly exhausted by the end of the day. We so love Legoland - we look forward to this trip every year.

Piano and Basketball

Way back in January Peter had his first piano recital. He did so well (not one mistake) and was so calm and composed! We were so impressed. Here he is with his sweet teacher, and our neighbor, Mrs. Lyndsey.

We also signed up the boys for basketball this year. Peter played on the Heat

and Benji played on the Lakers.

Once again, Peter was not very excited about getting aggressive or jumping into the action but it was fun to see him try something new. Benji had a lot of fun - especially at practices and even started making baskets towards the end of the season.

At their award ceremonies - Peter got the Evolution Award (because he improved)

and Benji got the Coach's award always having a good attitude and willingness to work hard.
We were so proud of our guys!

Travis and I even won tickets to a LA Clippers game and got to enjoy a fun date night together.
