Project Free Time

Just in case anyone is interested in all the crazy things Travis gets up to, he has started his very own blog called Project Free Time. It's all Travis, all the time!
For his first project, he's building a segwey and gets into all the details in case you'd like to learn how to build one for yourself. So stop on by for a glimpse into Travis' mind...

Millet Summer Reunion

At the end of June, the Millet family got together for a little reunion in Anaheim - we didn't go to Disney, it's just one of the few areas with houses big enough to house 30+ people.
While we didn't make it to the Happiest Place on Earth, we did spend quite a bit of time at Seal Beach with all the cousins.

Benji, Ali, and Peter showing off their sandcastle. Do you have any idea how hard it is to keep a 3 year old from destroying a sandcastle while you are trying to build it up? Yeah, this one was gone about 5 seconds after I snapped this pic.
With three littles under the age of one, we camped them out under the umbrella and they were pretty content to hang out in the shade.
This is Nora with Alvin, Brooke's happy little man.

The house also came with a pool so you can be sure it was occupied from the minute the kids woke up until we dragged them off to bed at night.
Nora's first swimming adventure - I'm not terribly sure she loved it.

Did Travis finally learn to defy the laws of gravity?
Nah, I was able to catch this lucky shot of him jumping into the pool mid-leap using a kickboard. Looks like he's walking on water, no?
This picture taken on our way home pretty much says it all.
We wore ourselves out with all the fun.

Rollin' and Rockin'

Nora is four months now! She weighs in at 12 lbs and to celebrate, our sweet girl has started rolling over.  It's pretty stinkin' cute. Problem is she gets a bit frustrated once she gets to her tummy, forgetting she knows how to roll to her back again. I'm sure she'll figure it out soon enough.
I'm not too sure if I'm ready to have a mobile baby yet though!

Bathing Beauties

Last Friday we went to the beach with a bunch of other moms. We've been wanting to go to the beach all summer but I was too scared to take the kids by myself. So this worked out perfect.
The kids were super excited to go.
Peter loves to play in the surf and Benji loves the sand so everybody was happy.

I was worried about how Nora would do bit she was a perfect angel. I brought her carseat and she slept for almost 3 hours in it in the shade! Like I said, she is a dream baby!
Hopefully we'll be able to go again soon.
