Water Baby

Benji is a HUGE fan of water. It's one of the first words he learned to say ('wa') and I am constantly finding him turning on the bath tub or playing in puddles that he's dumped out from glasses left on the table. A couple days ago I discovered him in the bathroom like this:

Utterly soaked and having the time of his life with a cup, a mirror and some running water.

I can't believe how much he looks like my brother Jono in some of these pictures.

Piano Man

The latest addition to our wall of musicality: the piano.

I'm determined to learn how to at least play simplified hymns by the end of the year. 

Benji of course is already a virtuoso.

Warning: The cuteness factor in the following video is pretty much off the charts. Unless you are a grandparent or obsessive mother of said ridiculously adorable child, you might be a little overwhelmed by the adorableness to come.

This was taken about a week ago and already he's got a whole nother slew of words. Such a big boy.

Red Lobster

Last week Peter's preschool class took a field trip to Red Lobster -- which was pretty dang cool since one of his classmates' dad is the manager. They went on a tour of the kitchens, got to check out live lobsters and then made their own batch of butter herb biscuits. Yum. And then they had a whole meal of shrimp and said biscuits. Pretty neato.
